The big news on the streets this month is the release of Jason Kerley - 'Infinit' CDR. Better known for his beautiful illustration work and breakbeat project Blackpepper, Dorset based artist Jason Kerley unveils a more experimental side with his debut album featuring 19 sound based pieces. Lovingly packaged in white digi-pack cases, hand numbered edition of 100 with a personal pen sqiggle on each by Mr Kerley himself, plus insert and label sticker featuring one of a series of 8 different designs.

APRIL SPECIAL OFFER:
All orders placed before the 31st of April will recieve a FREE copy of Dead Wood - 'Amber' CDR (DirtyCDR 043).
This disc clocks in at just over 35 minutes, features 7 tracks, and WILL NOT be available in the shop or distros. 'Amber' is a limited edition of 100 copies, rubber stamped disc with insert and each cover contains a section of various photographs taken from my own personal collection. The only way to get one is by placing an order this month.
In other news, Dirty Demos will be slowing down it's CDR release schedule slightly and concentrating on a few vinyl releases again. I recently did a small interview for web zine Tokafi which explains more and can be found --> HERE
Lastly, A big thanks to those who attended the church show at the end of last month. It was a very special evening and nice to see some new faces there. Unfortunently Arcam from London couldn't make it, so instead we were treated to a stylophone work out by Nemeton, and a short debut sinewave and clatter collaboration by Dead Wood and Phantom Heron Seas.
Jason Kerley hit us with some jagged glitch and shards of broken sounds, then Yaaard stepped up with with some blissful electronica and vocals. We were delighted to witness his amazing cover of Chaka Demus and Pliers - 'Tease Me', real nice touch I thought.
To round off the night No Context were joined by Dogeeseseegod for an hour set of drone, clatter and clang, vocal acrobatics, circuit bent toys, zither, turntable abuse and all things good.
Special thanks goes out to Jason, Chris, Wayne and Steve - We love you all. There should be some video footage recorded from the evening floating around the internet sometime soon.

On Saturday 28th Dirty Demos will be teaming up with those nice people at Dead Sea Liner and Noctilucent to present an evening of live experimental sounds at St Aldhelms Church, Branksome, Dorset, UK. This time No Context will be collaborating with the mighty Dogeeseseegod, plus expect solo sets from Arcam, Jason Kerley and Yaaard.

Time for the first release of the year, a 3" CDR titled 'Noi lavoriamo nelle tenebre' by Italian composer/performer Salvatore Borrelli, otherwise known as ( e t r e ). Previous releases on Baskaru, Ruralfaune and Riz(h)ome Records have delt with free folk and post digital glitch, but here ( e t r e ) presents something different, more intimate.
Constructed using lap steel guitar, contact and panoramic microphones, with laptop processing, this is surely Salvatore's most intense and haunting work to date. The twenty minute piece is divided into four sections and is dedicated to the French writer, philosopher, and literary theorist, Marurice Blanchot.
This 3" CDR comes with beautiful cover photography by the hugely talented Federica R, and is a limited edition of 76 hand numbered copies. To hear mp3 extracts taken from the release, click on the cover in the shop or new releases section.

Stocking fillers ahoy!
This month sees a new release by Heliotaxis, a psychedelic free-form trio from Brooklyn, New York. This one is very limited, so grab it while you can! Dirty Demos is also pleased to announce the long awaited debut from I Before E. Expect a surreal mix of electronica beats, field recordings, ragga vocals and experimental passages. Nice!
It seems a festive gig is out of the question, as unfortunently every venue is fully booked. Looks like I'll have to save this bottle of sherry till next year! Those fine folk at APOLLOLAAN RECORDINGS have just released Sindre Bjerga's set from the last show in October. It's titled 'Angel Heart, Sparkling With Fire', limited to 50 numbered copies and comes complete with a flyer for the evening. Check it out!
Also worth a listen is 'A Light Year Of Sundays', a rather good CD by KASPER VAN HOEK. Two of the tracks originally appeared on the limited edition 'Den Haag/Groningen/Froombosch' CDR which was released on Dirty Demos earlier this year. The track 'Hooftweg/Deliphein' is also featured on the 'Mind The Gap 73' compilation CD (3000 copies) presented by Dutch magazine GONZO CIRCUS.
